Figure study done in Sumi ink with Bamboo brush on story book page(book is The Deluge). I find that figure studies on book pages become interesting when unintended phrases become caught in the mass of the body and gain new interest.
About Bellavia
Bellavia is a Western New York and New Orlean based artist who has exhibited in local, regional, national and international venues. She received her MFA from Alfred University, Alfred N.Y. and her BFA from Buffalo State College, Buffalo N.Y. Her interests and development span several traditional disciplines including: sculpture, printmaking, drawing and casting.
